A question, an idea, a little snag?

Get in touch with Michael, Wisp’s developer. Use sample text and leave private notes out of your report.

Prepare a support request support+wisp@milee.devThe form opens an email draft for you to review and send.

Wisp is one scratch sheet for passing thoughts. Writing, paste, sharing, text size, appearance, and 30-day recovery are free. Optional Wisp Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks four Home Screen widget layouts and read/append actions for Siri and Shortcuts. The purchase screen shows the App Store's current price for your storefront.

Contact and feedback

Use the feedback form to report a bug, request a feature, or ask a question. Choose a request type, add details, and tap Continue in email. The form prepares a draft in your email app; review it and tap Send there. If the draft does not open, use Copy feedback to copy the complete report.

You can also email support+wisp@milee.dev directly.

Find settings and recent wisps

Tap the wisp wordmark at the top of the sheet to open Recent wisps. Tap its gear to open Settings. Settings contains text size, System/Light/Dark appearance, Pro purchase and restoration, and offline Privacy and Support pages.

Keep or recover text

Your current sheet saves locally as you edit and has no automatic expiry. To keep another copy, use Share and choose a destination. Notes appears among the system destinations when available; the choices and saving steps belong to the destination app. Sharing or canceling the share sheet leaves Wisp's text in place.

After Clear, tap Undo promptly if you cleared by mistake. If Undo has disappeared, open Recent wisps, choose the sheet, and tap Restore sheet. Replacing nonempty current text asks for confirmation and keeps a recovery copy of the displaced sheet. Recovery lasts 30 days after clearing or replacement, and expired files are removed during later app activity. Ordinary edits do not create recovery versions.

To permanently empty recovery, open Recent wisps → Delete All and confirm. Your current sheet stays intact. Deleted recovery copies cannot be restored or brought back with Undo. If Wisp reports a deletion error, try again.

Do not delete or reinstall Wisp to troubleshoot without first sharing or copying everything you want to keep, including relevant recovered sheets. Wisp marks its local note and recovery storage for exclusion from device backups. Do not rely on a backup to recover it; there is no Wisp server backup.

If a sheet will not open or save

  • If Wisp says the current sheet could not be opened, use Try again. The app preserves the unreadable file instead of treating it as a fresh empty sheet. Do not erase app data to dismiss the problem.
  • If saving fails but the text is visible, copy or share that text first. Check that the device has available storage, then retry. Keep the exported copy until you have verified the sheet opens correctly again.
  • If one recovered sheet cannot be read, other readable recovery copies may still be available. Report the error wording with invented example text, without posting the damaged file or personal content.

Keyboard, paste, and appearance

Tap the sheet to write. The checkmark above the keyboard dismisses it. Paste appears when the system clipboard offers supported text or a URL; native text selection and paste remain available. For a keyboard or caret problem, record the device, iOS/iPadOS version, keyboard type, orientation, and whether Wisp is in a resized iPad window.

Text size also follows the device's Dynamic Type setting. System appearance follows the device; Light and Dark override it for Wisp. If something becomes difficult to read or reach at a larger text size, include the text-size setting in a support report.

Pro purchases

Open Settings → Restore Purchases using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Restore does not intentionally clear or replace your sheet. If the App Store is unavailable, check your connection and use Check availability later. A purchase awaiting approval unlocks after Apple approves it. Apple manages App Store transactions; do not include your receipt or payment details in a support report.

Pro adds widgets and Siri/Shortcuts actions. The core sheet, sharing, settings, and recovery remain available without Pro. There is no subscription.

Widgets

The four small and medium Home Screen layouts offer a fresh sheet, current-sheet previews, or both. Starting a fresh sheet preserves the previous text in recovery. A preview contains at most the first 1,200 characters, so open Wisp for the complete text.

If a widget looks stale, open Wisp and return to the Home Screen. Wisp requests refreshes, but iOS/iPadOS controls when the widget redraws; an old rendered preview can remain temporarily after the sheet changes or clears. If a widget asks you to unlock Pro despite a previous purchase, restore purchases in Settings.

Siri and Shortcuts

In Apple's Shortcuts app, look for Read Wisp and Add to Wisp. Read returns the current sheet; Add appends text while preserving what is already there. Both require Pro and device authentication. Add can accept the output of a preceding shortcut action.

You can try “Add to Wisp” or “Read Wisp”. The standard Add interaction asks “What would you like to add to Wisp?” after invocation.

On iOS/iPadOS 27 with Siri AI (Beta) enabled, Wisp also supports Apple's native note-append action for requests such as “Add buy milk to my current Wisp.” It always adds to the current sheet, preserving existing text. It cannot search or modify recently deleted wisps. Siri's recognition of these requests still needs verification on individual devices; a successful Shortcuts action does not guarantee Siri recognizes the same wording. Siri AI availability depends on Apple's supported devices, languages, regions, and enrollment. Updating iOS alone does not enable it. Apple's Siri AI setup guide.

If Siri does not recognize Wisp, use the actions in Shortcuts. A useful report includes the exact invocation, device language, iOS/iPadOS version, and whether the device was unlocked. Replace your intended note content with sample words. Read Wisp can speak or return your sheet's text, so choose a suitable place and shortcut destination.

Preparing a support request

Keep personal notes, private screenshots, receipts, payment details, and other sensitive information out of support reports. Use a small invented example and include:

  • The action you took and what you expected.
  • What happened, including the error wording with private content removed.
  • Your device model, iOS/iPadOS version, and Wisp version if known.
  • For layout/input issues, orientation, window size, keyboard, and accessibility settings involved.

Open Settings → Privacy for local storage, recovery, widget previews, purchases, and sharing details.

System writing tools

On supported devices with Apple Intelligence enabled, select text in your sheet and use Apple's Writing Tools menu to proofread or rewrite it. Wisp accepts plain-text results and saves accepted edits like typing. Availability is controlled by your device, language, and Apple Intelligence settings. These system tools do not require Wisp Pro.
